This is catch up with your favorite PowerPC Browsers and the clicks goes to:
TenFourFox – 17.0.4 – http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
AuroraFox – 20.0a2 – http://aurorafox.wordpress.com/
SeaMonkey – 2.16.1 – https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc/downloads/list
Leopard WebKit – 144371 – http://code.google.com/p/leopard-webkit/
OmniWeb – 5.11.2 – http://www.omnigroup.com/products/omniweb/ (updated Jan/2012)
These are my favorite 5 web browsers.
TenFourFox has been doing a great job of staying up to date. I also like OmniWeb and also am still using Camino (they still update their nightly builds) on some of my G4’s.
I think these top 5 browsers are super fast, thumbs up for all of them. :)
I would like to get Dutch localization of TenFourFox… Does anybody know where to find it?
It seems aurora only for macintel and not ppc :( or you can give us a link to download?
AuroraFox it’s PowerPC, check this link: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/43362/aurorafox :)
Damn, Leopard only, still sticking to a Tiger! :( Do you know any (inexpensive) way to upgrade my iBook G4 1Ghz 1.25 GB RAM to Leopard?
I would say Craigslist it’s a good place to find old/used computer/softwares, etc :)
Opera for powermac is on http://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/mac/1063/
Do not forget about iCab. It’s still supported (11//17/13) Leopard PowerPC. However it will use the stock old system webkit unless you make Leopard webkit apply to all webkit apps, there is an Applescript that does this when you download Leopard webkit. I like iCab, some don’t, but the developer has a long long history of supporting older OS’es, so shoot him some cash if you use it.
