Youtube + Leopard Market

We are in great shape in 2014!   I have a list of applications that people have suggested for me that I’m looking forward to share with you very soon.  But before that, I want to share a great post from my “brother-blog”  PPCLUDDITE, who does great work to keep our “senior citizen” of technology alive and kicking since 2010.  Recently he found a very interesting way to watch Youtube videos, check this link for more information: http://ppcluddite.blogspot.com/2014/02/new-gui-app-for-youtube-dl.html .
I also want to share a project from a new blog/site that has a lot of potential and good ideas for PowerPC users.  They created an AppStore for PowerPC which they named “Leopard Market”.  As the name says, it’s pretty much for Leopard OS X and the forum links + news you can be reviewed here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1705790 .  But he also is behind the PowerPC Archive, a site that you will find great material to download and make your Mac PowerPC more productive, which I’ve linked right here: http://ppcarchive.dyniform.net/ once you get there don’t forget to check the Blog category for news/tips/etc on the PowerPC Centre –http://powerpccentre.wordpress.com/
Keep your PowerPC ON.

RealPlayer SP for Mac

This is a great player and the latest version of RealPlayer does a lot more than just play videos.  Download videos from the web.  Convert your video library and copy them to iTunes.

Tooble Dowload Youtube Videos

Summer time is a very difficult time to blog for the MacPowerPC team because of our day jobs.  It’s our busiest time of year and admittedly it’s difficult to find the time to release quality posts.  I wanted to let everyone know that even during our hiatus, we have still been searching and saving material for later updates, on a regular basis.  Now that fall is settling in, we have time to get back on track for our weekly updates…and have we got a LOT to catch up on!

* Tooble 2.8 – (Free) – PowerPC Tiger/Leopard.  It’s an easy way to quickly download videos from YouTube, convert them and import to iTunes to watch on your iPod or AppleTV.

I’m sorry guys for the misunderstanding, the right version that is compatible with PowerPC is Tooble 2.7.9.  Download here: http://cl.ly/RSL2

I would like to thank you to Bjornels for sharing the link with us.  The version that he found also works on PowerPC – http://tooble.en.softonic.com/mac

Roccat to Russia

I think our favorite list of browsers have just increased!  Right now my top 5 are of no secret to anyone and I always post about them.  TenFourFox, AuroraFox, WebKit Leopard, SeaMonkey and Camino/Omniweb are basically the guardians of browsers for the PowerPC, but Roccat Browser surprised me a lot.  It’s very fast to browse the internet and the good news is now we are able to watch videos on Youtube without that annoying pause and delay!

Some features like FusedBar and Facebook/Twitter integration is also a plus. Ad-Remover is a really nice touch and I have to mention that I like the clean layout, and the visual tabs are able to be positioned anywhere you prefer.

Let’s show some love and spread the word for all the PowerPC community and make sure that the people behind this project know that there are PowerPC users using this Browser so they will still (I hope) create updates for our system!

You guys can leave some comments for the developers here: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/37403/roccat-browser make sure to mention you are running their software on a PowerPC.

P.S.: For the tittles I’m taking reference from some music or records.
